Common Sense Prints (1995-1999), Martin Parr (Signed)

Martin Parr is best known for his high-colour, scathing depictions of everyday life and customs in Britain. 'Common Sense' comprises 350 photographs taken all over the world at the height of the 1990s. These photographs dissect modern consumerism, focusing on details of fast food, souvenirs and plastic toys and exposing national clichés. When first made, the global nature of the work was underscored by its being exhibited simultaneously in a number of venues around the world.
