Don't Forget to Wave, Tommy Keith (Signed)

Description

Photographed over the course of three years, 'Don’t Forget to Wave' explores the small town of Restoule, Ontario and a few of its residents. Tommy Keith has been visiting this town for a little over a decade, but it was in these last three to four years that his fascination with Restoule grew. By exploring this towns identity through photographs, the subtleties of the relationship between person, environment, and structure are at the core of this project.

"After my dad underwent heart surgery, I become acutely aware of his mortality. This heavily influenced the way I made photographs and, despite, his recovery, I began to see these towns and landscapes differently. I made pictures through the eyes of someone
scared to lose the father they loved. Someone who was coming to terms with death and searching for solace through photographing." (Words by Tommy Keith)
