Anthony Haughey Books — Photo Museum Ireland

Anthony Haughey has spent his career photographing the human cost of borders, displacement and diaspora. His work in the west of Ireland explores the deep links between a changing landscape and the communities it shaped, and challenges the comfortable mythology of Irish cultural identity. The Edge of Europe places these images alongside a portrait of the Irish diaspora on the east coast of America, where forty million people claim Irish ancestry.

PMI holds The Edge of Europe in two editions. The standard hardback is a major work of Irish documentary photography. The limited hardback edition - available here with a signed print - is one of the most significant collectible items currently available from a contemporary Irish photographer. Once this edition is gone it will not be reprinted.
