Nan Goldin's photographs do something rare: they make the viewer feel genuinely present in the lives of the people pictured. Her work - shot among friends, lovers and chosen family in New York, Berlin and beyond - chronicles intimacy, addiction, loss and survival with a directness that changed what photography was understood to be capable of.

PMI stocks three titles that together span the breadth of her practice. The Ballad of Sexual Dependency, first published in 1986, remains a landmark of contemporary photography - a visual diary of a world visceral, charged and seething with appetite for living. Sisters, Saints and Sibyls is a haunting meditation on female mental health, trauma and addiction, weaving together medical records, family photographs and mythological allusion. This Will Not End Well presents, for the first time, a comprehensive overview of Goldin's work as a filmmaker - slideshows and video installations shown as she intended them to be experienced.

PMI is one of only two specialist photography bookshops in Ireland stocking her work.
