Collection: Martin Parr Books — Photo Museum Ireland

Martin Parr has spent five decades training a forensic, high-colour eye on the rituals of modern life - the souvenirs, the fast food, the package holidays, the Sunday afternoons. Scathing and affectionate in equal measure, his photographs expose the clichés of contemporary consumerism with a precision that has made him one of the most recognised photographers in the world.

Photo Museum Ireland holds a small but significant collection of Parr material including signed Common Sense prints from 1995-1999, Early Works, his Ireland publication, and the extraordinary Julie Bullard - a collaborative work with Nadia Lee Cohen designed as a late-seventies photo album, complete with faux leather covers and a vintage gold spiral binding. These are not titles you find in a general bookshop.

Many Parr editions go out of print quickly and circulate only through a small number of specialist stockists. Photo Museum Ireland is one of only two specialist photography bookshops in Ireland carrying his work.

Photo Museum Ireland is Ireland's national centre for contemporary photography, supporting photographers and the photography community since 1978.
